District Employment and Manpower Office was established in this district in 1995. In the organizational structure of this office there are 01 (one) assistant director, 02 (two) manpower survey officers, 01 (one) UDA-cum-accountant, 01 (one) office assistant, total 05 (five) manpower.
This district level office is a government office under the Bureau of Manpower, Employment and Training under the Ministry of Expatriate Welfare and Overseas Employment. The office provides fingerprints to expatriate workers and provides financial assistance to the families of those who have died abroad, and scholarships to the meritorious children of expatriate workers from the Wage Earners Welfare Fund.
